Senior Manager/Supervisor
PURPOSE:
The Director of Microsoft Solutions is responsible for managing the Ascend GTM around products, services, and solutions that are based on Technologies provided by Microsoft. Evangelize Ascend’s expertise across the Microsoft stack and value as a Microsoft partner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support to our Business Development Executives in pursuit of opportunities that have a Microsoft Platform component. Support areas include:
    • Licensing expertise
    • M365 Expertise
    • Azure Expertise
    • Ascend Solution expertise supporting our solutions based on embedded Microsoft technologies.
  • Serve as the Partner Manager to Microsoft. Identify and implement strategies to increase revenue opportunities for Ascend by broadening reach across the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Manage the partner relationship, areas include:
    • Partner Center metrics - Competency management, Incentives/Rebates, customer association, benefits
    • Engagement / cadence with Microsoft – Partner Development, Azure Customer Success, and Advanced Support for Partners,
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Growth areas, incentive programs, requisites to meet Microsoft thresholds.
  • Provide client coverage support to our CSM (Customer Success Manager) teams for Microsoft only clients.
  • Participate as an active member of the Solution Development process to create innovative solutions that leverage Microsoft Technologies.
  • Participate with our Marketing teams to craft appropriate messaging around our Microsoft-based solutions.  Areas of expertise include:
    • Competitive Messaging
    • Sales Enablement Messaging
    • Sales / Technical Training
    • MDF (Marketing Development Funds) management.
  • Provide support to the channel team in positioning our Microsoft solutions with our ecosystem of referral and resale partners. Build and develop a robust pipeline of partner opportunities through business, marketing, and enablement planning
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Microsoft technologies.
  • 5 years of direct selling experience.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft solutions to include M365 productivity and security elements as well as Azure IaaS elements (compute, storage, networking)
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Strong program management skills with a focus on delivering scalable programs.
  • Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated record of accomplishment of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like security, infrastructure as a service, open-source software, virtualization, and Software as a Service delivery models.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations are a must.

Salary Expectations starting at: $130,000
