Director of Channels, Partners & Agencies

PURPOSE: 

The Director of Channels, Partners & Agencies is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding Ascend’s Technology Service Distributor (TSD) and agency partner ecosystem. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through strategic TSD relationships, partner enablement, and market development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success in channel management, business development, and partner engagement within the technology services industry.     

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage TSD partners to expand Ascend’s market penetration and recurring revenue opportunities. 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive TSD channel strategy that drives revenue, partner satisfaction, and brand visibility. 

  • Lead annual planning activities for the TSD program, including business reviews, target-setting, marketing calendars, incentive program design, and growth projections. 

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with TSD partners and their sub-agents to create mutual value and consistent pipeline growth. 

  • Collaborate with the Ascend Business Development team to drive revenue growth through TSD partner-generated opportunities. 

  • Create and manage partner-facing messaging and solution positioning that communicates compelling value propositions for our managed services and solution offerings. 

  • Lead the development and execution of Ascend’s Channel Management Process to ensure scalable onboarding, enablement, and ongoing partner success. 

  • Execute integrated go-to-market campaigns with TSD partners, coordinating marketing, sales enablement, and joint business planning. 

  • Help build and maintain a formal referral program that drives qualified opportunities to the TSD network, particularly focused on reselling telecommunications products and services. 

  • Establish and track partner performance metrics within Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and report progress to leadership. 

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand relationships with agency and referral partners to support overall channel growth. 

PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE 

  •   Minimum of 3 years of experience working within the Technology Service Distribution (TSD) or channel ecosystem. 
  • Proven experience in partner management, channel development, or business development within the IT managed services or technology reseller industry. 

  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales and performance targets. 

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and business audiences. 

  • Excellent program and project management skills with a focus on delivering scalable partner programs. 

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce) for pipeline management and performance tracking. 

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and partner organizations. 

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with partners, attend events, and drive business growth.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, such as laptop, server equipment, and, driving to the work site to meet with client(s).
